A wave of darkness,
the fumes towering over the specs of life below.
A sea left in starkness,
oil smeared and continued to grow.

A thick blanket of smoke,
cries for help from life without a voice.
Nature herself left to choke.
Was it fair that she didn’t have a choice?

Help is on its way.
Days, weeks, months, how long with it take?
The deep blue, a colossal ashtray.
How honest was their mistake?
