Well I'm sorry
Time spent and gone
On chasing unknown happiness
Neglecting work, throw it away

So I sit down at my desk again
To catch up on all my regrets
A one line way of thinking, but that's not all true
I remember my paintbrush, I remember my pen
Now I'm typing down all the thoughts in my head
Red warning signs, red warning lines
Try to dismiss, complain when amiss

Traverse all the information
Trying to find my needle in the hay
Late into the night, breaking my back
Melting my brain, hurting my eyes

And then it hits
The glory of a fix
Arms up in the air
And back down again
In need of sleep
We pause life's simulation
