We strive to live and create
Golden Gates; bridging metal logic
And steely water, from side to side.
But they ask for spring in winter
And a high wall to divide.

Split the atom
And they build the bomb.
Give them light
And they make it darker.
Give them our best advice
And they will roll the dice.
On us. On them. On life.

Deliver man the moon, the sun, and the stars,
But never from poverty or strife.
Build greater towers and faster cars,
Create a supercomputer, nay, a mechanical mind.

Fix we can almost anything, but mankind.
For that takes not 7 nm gates
But 7 billion hearts and minds.
